OB Private enters next phase of growth with strategic hires and broker-led expansion

BY Charlie Gibson

23rd January 2026

OB Private is expanding at pace across prime central London, driven by strong market momentum and a clear strategy to attract top-tier talent. At the heart of the business remains its employed model, continuing to grow across both sales and lettings. Complementing this core structure, the business has also introduced a brokerage platform designed for highly experienced advisors seeking greater independence while remaining supported by a strong brand, proven systems, and a consistently robust flow of leads. The platform has quickly become a complementary profit centre and a central pillar of the firm’s long-term growth strategy.

OB Private has recently welcomed six new team members as part of its continued expansion. Five of these hires see an established team join from Chestertons’ Notting Hill office, with Charlie Cunningham Reed, Nathaniel Hickey, Harry Pourdjis, Will Bennett and Tracy Palmer moving across in a mix of brokerage and employed roles.

In addition, Mark Johnson has joined the business to lead the Mayfair lettings division. Mark joins from Knight Frank’s Mayfair office and brings extensive experience operating at the very top end of the prime lettings market, further enhancing OB Private’s presence in one of London’s most competitive postcodes. Plus, Elizabeth Walker, who joined in June from Mountgrave Heritage in Notting Hill, has already billed over £220,000 in lettings fees, underlining both the earning potential within the business and the effectiveness of OB Private’s lead generation and platform support.

Alongside team growth, OB Private has continued to expand its transactional reach. The firm recently launched a dedicated New Homes and Investment team, which has successfully exchanged on a two-bedroom apartment at One Carrington Street for £7 million and secured key new mandates across several prime developments, including the Bolton Collection, the Seymour Collection, The Lucan and 6 Charles Street.

The recruitment drive comes amid record business performance. Year-on-year, applicant enquiries are up 45.1%, viewings have increased by 110.6%, valuations are up 50%, and new property listings have risen by 15.5%. OB Private currently has 177 properties available for sale, creating a substantial pipeline and significant earning potential for ambitious professionals.

Commenting on the appointment, Gibson said: “Bringing Tas in as CEO is a clear statement of ambition and belief in the scale of the opportunity ahead. This is about building the team, building the platform, and accelerating the next chapter of growth in prime central London real estate.”

OB Private is actively seeking ambitious, high-performing professionals to join the business under both employed and self-employed models. Experienced lettings advisors, negotiators, and sales professionals looking to maximise earnings within a fast-growing, high-performance environment are encouraged to get in touch at info@obprivate.co.uk and keep an eye on @oliverbernardprivate for job advertisements.
