Notting Hill & Holland Park

20 C (68 F) 10.11 Europe/London

Featured Properties

What with the woodland paths, Kyoto gardens, serried ranks of tulips and squawking peacocks, we think Holland Park is one of the most idyllic spaces in London.

Grab a coffee in Café Phillies ahead of your walk from Kensington, then head north through Holland Park up past the Opera House and towards Notting Hill where you will find the famous Notting Hill bookshop (sadly Hugh Grant’s not behind the till).

Notting Hill

SECRET EATS

Talbot Road’s Secret Sandwich Shop (as the name suggests) is a bit of a best-kept secret; the Westbourne is the only pub in Notting Hill where you’ll ever find summer sunshine after 6pm; and Notting Hill Fish Shop is your go-to for meat, veg and excellent lobster – perfect for the barbecue.

PORTOBELLO ROAD

Let’s not forget Portobello Road and market, with its endless stream of antiques and curiosities, plus Graffik Gallery, which runs private graffiti masterclasses on weekends, so you can channel your inner Banksy.
